NOTE FROM DONNA LANGE
I am safe and sound in Bermuda. I came in on lovely nice winds, sunshine and was so incredibly warmly welcomed by Bermudians!!! Wow!! It is all surreal.. The intensity of the storm, torrential rains, pelting rain, equipment failures, 36-hours on deck hand steering.. I have never known such exhaustion. I was falling asleep literally every moment coming up the coast of Bermuda to St Georges.. I would startle and wake to the boat off coarse and put her back on only to wake again in a start.. I have to rest.... Moe Roddy's friends were there to greet as well as Brian and his parents, even some folks from a cruise ship who caught wind of what was going on..... so amazing. But for today, please forgive me but I have to sleep. I am just a buzz of energy but cannot keep my eyes open. I will write tomorrow and hopefully will be on skype.... Lots of catching up... big loves to all.. Sorry to be so quick but I can't write right now... I get all baggled... love you all, oxoooxoxo I am safe and sound... You were all with me these last 24-hours as I could not have steered myself. I would remember each and bring you back to help me get through.... I will write real tomorrow.... I love you all so so very much. Big hug xoxooxoo d
DONNA LANGE is SAFE in BERMUDA as of
Thursday, April 19th, 2007 11:30 A.M. EST
Thank you all for your prayers and concerns for Donna. This has been a WORLD CLASS EFFORT on everyone's part...
ESPECIALLY CAPTAIN DONNA LANGE'S......... This is a story that will be heard around the world... Her determination is totally INSPIRING... She just finished a marathon with Mother Ocean............ They both have a lot of strength... Thank the Universe, Donna found her warrior woman inside. May this effort show all people, all women, all children that WE CAN ACHIEVE miracles if we BELIEVE and WORK HARD to make them come about. Donna is a total INSPIRATION... to all of us!!! Thank you Neil for keeping us up to date... and thanks to the Bermuda people for helping Donna!
MORE OF THE SAME TODAY... BUT IN DONNA'S LOG SHE SAYS that she can FEEL us sending prayers and loving energy. SHE FEELS IT... SO LET'S KEEP IT MOVING TO HER!!! When was the last time you did something entirely out of LOVE for a fellow human being? THIS IS A GREAT TIME TO KNOW WHAT KIND OF WORLD WE CAN CREATE OUT OF LOVE... Visit her site: www.DonnaLange.com and send Captain Donna Lange your prayers for her safety & light a candle to help her SEE her way to Bermuda's safe harbor! Go little Sailor, GO! only 100 miles to Bermuda and 20 to the harbor... YOU ARE DOING IT !!!
Hello and Welcome to DONNA'S PAGE.
TODAY and for the remaining days of DONNA LANGE'S SAIL AROUND THE WORLD. We are HERE TO SEND Donna Lange some good stuff every day! Donna could use a little hand or a bit of our hearts to help her sail to Bermuda. She is still in 50 - 60 mph winds and huge seas. She wanted to stay put, but her sea anchor failed (which means it probably broke loose). She has been in the eye of this gale force storm and holding her own.
She and Inspired Insanity made it through the worse night ever last night with seas like walls in front of her and winds between 60 and 70 miles per hour. Today, Donna is facing more days of extremely hard sailing. She is faced with no sea anchor to drag and steady her, so she is putting up sails to go to Bermuda. Bermuda contacts are expecting her and all efforts are out to keep her in touch with Bermuda Harbor officials. Search and Rescue has been alerted for two days now of Donna's situation and position.
She is in good hands, and by that I mean, her own hands AND the Universe's even bigger arms. Mother Ocean knows this little sailor and Donna respects and loves Mother Ocean. They work together in harmony. Donna has a higher level of caretaker, watching her as she battles along AND she fully understands this to the depths of her soul. Donna has more faith than most anyone I have ever met. She is also a terrific and skilled sailor with a heart to go all the way. And SHE WILL.
Donna has known ALL THE TIME ... since before she sailed out of Bristol Bay, from Rhode Island a year and a half ago -that she would MAKE this TRIP and return HOME SAFELY. She has never doubted it. She is nearly there. We can all send her a prayer and ENVISION her SAFE and SOUND. We can SEE Donna having the strength, the know-how and the boat to get her to where she needs to go. We SEE IT... IT HAPPENS. DONNA SEES IT... IT HAPPENS...
Faith... a little MIGHTY WORD which is very steadily fixed in Donna Lange's heart.
Here's to you Little Sailor... WE SEE YOU SAFE and HOME WITH YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS SOON... just a few more miles of dancing with Mother Ocean. It's OKAY...
YOU KNOW HOW TO LET HER LEAD.
Everyone associated with Still Crazy Sailing is sending LOVE and LIGHT and HUGS and STRENGTH and PEACE to you DONNA. Loving energy is focused from THOUSANDS of people who love Donna. You are our hero, kiddo, YOU are AMAZING.
We also send our love and strength to Donna's Family and Dear Friends. Everyone LIGHT A CANDLE FOR DONNA. That energy creates an intention for faith in and loving strength which we PURPOSEFULLY send out to DONNA. Light a candle as a symbol of a Lighthouse to help Donna SEE her way to safe harbor!
YOU ARE SO LOVED :)

DONNA IS OKAY - READ HER MORNING LOG!!!
MONDAY, APRIL 16TH - 6:00 AM EST
Donna is okay after facing a monstrous storm Monday morning. The boat may have suffered damage to the steering vane. At one point, Donna took a quarter plus roll but the boat righted itself. Sustained winds of 70 kts, seas of 25 to 30 feet. Water continually flooded the cockpit and drenched the cabin below. Donna is in amazing spirits as she assesses boat damage and prepares for the next few days of storms.
SUNDAY, APRIL 15TH - 6:00 PM EST
There are a number of highly skilled weather monitors on the job at this time. They agree that this storm will likely be the worst that Donna has ever faced. And Donna has faced some wicked storms. Including the storm that prematurely ended Ken Barnes round-the-world venture at Cape Horne in January.
April 16, 2007 ~MONDAY early morning -12:30 AM PDT and 3:30 AM EST... I am ENVISIONING Donna and Inspired Insanity flowing with this weather. Donna knows all she needs to know to get through this time in Donna Style. Donna has all she needs to successfully sail this weather. Donna IS in HARMONY with Mother Ocean. The Universe offers all Donna needs to finish her sail around the world and sail safely back to Bristol, Rhode Island. I SEE Donna smiling as she rides the waves and KNOWS she is doing her destiny. She IS finishing this last leg of her more than 30,000 miles at sea. She is my hero. I am humbled to say that Donna is my friend. She will SOON be heading north east to Bristol and her family and her date with her new life as a mentor and leader to right civil wrongs and correct living conditions for children and women and men alike. Yes, she is my hero, this sailor. Donna will be delayed coming into Rhode Island on her last leg of her Circumnavigation. With under 700 miles to finish her around the world "cruise," this GALE is the last of the tremendous tests of endurance that Donna has had to overcome. Due to this humongous storm on the East Coast, Donna is taking actions to secure her safety, and she is constantly making her course corrections as new information becomes available... I take this from Donna's website (www.DonnaLange.com), I quote:
_________________________________________________________
"THE ARRIVAL CEREMONY IS OFFICIALLY POSTPONED TO
APRIL 28, 2007
Please stay with us for further information
WE (The Donna Team) ARE ASKING DONNA TO MAKE THIS APROACHING ATLANTIC STORM HER "TOTAL PRIORITY" OVER HER SCHEDULED HOMECOMING CEREMONY. THIS WILL UNDOUBTEDLY RESULT IN HER DELAY.
THE FORCASTERS ARE PREDICTING THIS EAST COAST AND ATLANTIC STORM TO BE MONSTEROUS. OUR CONCERN OVER DONNA'S SAFETY, AND STRESS LEVEL HAS PROMPTED THE DECISION TO POSTPONE THE CELEBRATION BY ONE WEEK"...
_____________________________________________________________________________
As with all of Donna's family, friends and fans, I send Donna loving energy to complete the last leg of her historical sail. She is a multi-talented and highly skilled Captain. She continues to sail her mighty little ship forward. I know Donna has EVERYTHING she needs to be safe and come through this last challenge in great style. The Universe gifts all she needs. We who love and admire her, send her strength and reminders of her own powers and knowledge. May she find new insights and melodies as she safely comes home to Rhode Island.
Donna has come a long way since my last update. I hope you have visited her site where she faithfully submits a daily log of her progress and her experiences (www.DonnaLange.com). Donna took a quick stop in the Virgin Islands and is back out on the ocean. As of today's date: April 13, 2007, Donna is heading into gale force weather in order to get to Rhode Island and home. She is expected April 21st in Bristol, RI. But first she must muster all her energy and skill to sail through this weather. I want each of us to take a minute to just think about Donna and SEE her HOME and SAFE as she sails into Bristol.
I hope each of you can visit her site. You will be amazed at her story and her every day challenges out on Mother Ocean. Mother Ocean has tremendously tested Donna in body and spirit and Donna has done remarkably. This historic voyage of ONE woman on the sea in a little 28' sailboat, Inspired Insanity, will take your breath away and thrill you ~and make you appreciate your nice warm, and still bed. This woman is a true HERO and true EXPLORER in the days when all too many people can sit comfortably at a computer and find enough excitement playing a video game. In the rough and raw elements in the middle of the world's ocean, Donna Lange has battled forward ~and done it all with GREAT LOVE and GREAT INSIGHTS. She has much to offer each of us. God Bless Donna and her tough little sailboat as she gathers her strength to push these last 645 miles to complete her SOLO CIRCUMNAVIGATION!
All LOVE and LIGHT and PRAYERS are with YOU, DONNA !
fair winds :)
Donna is moving into a tropical climate so she got to actually take an ocean bath... tons of warm salt water to dump over her. She is still having a lot of interesting times. The winds and water are challenging and she needs a good rest. Don't forget, she is doing this alone with just Mother Ocean's critters and Mother Nature's whims to keep her company. Let's all send her some loving energy and light a candle for her safe voyage. HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY Donna and Inspired Insanity :)

An Amazing Heart Sailing north ...to Rhode Island from some where in the seas off Brazil! How can I share what this woman is doing?
Most of us on this whole planet will never know a journey like this. How can I try to comprehend what a warrior she is? A gentle warrior on a spirit journey, she hoists her sails along with her heart. She is brave beyond words as she spreads her offerings of inspiration and love to all. In all the turmoil that a solo sail CAN and DOES entail, Donna is filled with loving spirit, strength and integrity. As she makes her way on the second half of her AROUND the WORLD sail... she is finding peace in Mother Ocean's company. This woman is just a total INSPIRATION on her 28' sailboat, Inspired Insanity.

feb. 05, 2007 -MORE TOUGH DAYS for Donna Lange as she makes her passage from Cape Horn area to Rhode Island on the Atlantic. You go little Inspired Insanity!!! Prayers for Donna... and perhaps more hot meals! God be with you Donna... You are AMAZING! I light a candle for your safety :)
If you are interested in getting the REAL update and all of Donna's life and sailing stories and experiences just go visit her fact filled website! Normally there are DAILY updates of her progress, too! Here's Monday, Feb. 05, 2007's update from Donna Lange's site:
After an incredible UPDATE of all the challenges facing her, Donna ADDS: "This little ship sure is taking a beating. The comradery is amazing. big hugs and loves to all. Enjoy your piece of the world. Despite how I sound, I wouldn't be anywhere else.
We'll do just fine. xoxoxo d"
FEB 03, 2007 Reading Donna's daily update had me sending out extra prayers and love to her. She experienced a very tough last 24 hours! The seas were damanding and huge -- crashing over her boat trying to wash her off Inspired Insanity. In winds 50 nm, can you imagine sailing conditions in which the ocean is coming at you from all directions and constantly trying to throw the boat over and turn your boat? She is an amazing sailor and captain, thank goodness, a lesser one would have been lost. Her little boat was flooded, of course, and she bailed and the bilge pumps did their jobs. She sounds tired and "realitively" safe now. Winds have slowed and the seas are less "confused" as she says. I send prayers for her safely and to offer her energy and love for continued success on this amazing journey she has undertaken. Light a candle for her! Inspired, I dare say! CHECK out Donna's update and read for yourself! www.DonnaLange.com

Today Donna is setting sail for the long awaited second half of her sail to complete her world circumnavigation. She has been busy talking to many people about many things, fixing her boat, playing gigs with other talented musicians, and hiking through incredible areas in Argentina. She has met many wonderful new friends.
With more people becoming aware of her amazing journey and her amazing talent, she has brought people together from all over the globe! She has been talking about some new projects for after she completes her astounding sailing adventure. She is such a caring person, and she is pulled to find charities and even a school for under privilaged children to help. As she talked about leaving the area in Argentina where she has been for about the last two weeks, she says she will return to this magical place.
GOD SPEED Donna... and fair winds... we are with you in SPIRIT for sure. And I have lit a candle her first day of this last 7,000 miles. Let's all light a candle for Donna to offer her a spiritual lighthouse for a safe trip! I hope this idea spreads so she will get the spiritual, loving support from those of us who are wishing her well!
PS......... Donna old website is back up and working: DonnaLange.com visit this site to find out her updates from her sailboat, Inspired Insanity, AS she sails home.
and she has also started another site for her charity work which is found at: DonnaLange.org it is being built as of the last couple days, and will continue to grow and over many of Donna's Charity ideas.

Monday, January 22, 2007 ~~ Hi There... Looks like Donna's adventures have caught the attention of a lot of new fans! Her website is down and we might have to be a little patient while the WEB gets set up to handle all her adventures in a larger format! Looks like the large traffic on her site has caused her people to have to change up her site -- it is BACK UP NOW... ADDRESS: DonnaLange.org the old address should re-direct you to her new address. So as soon as Donna's new Site is UP... I will let you know!
In the meantime, light a candle for Donna each day... you can use the same candle and just have it lit for a minute each day with the intention of sending good energy to Donna... or like me... Light another candle (and let it light her every minute) each day of her voyage over her last 7,000 miles to get her home to Rhode Island! We can all be little spiritual Lighthouses for Donna! Either way, she appreciates all the loving energy we call send her! And she goes about spreading her loving energy on the world!
Fair Winds, Donna... and warm hands! We here at StillCrazySailing LOVE YOU!
Jan 19, 2007 I received another email from Donna Lange. Donna is doing well. She is refueling her spirit and body and preparing for the last leg of her solo circumnavigation. She has found many new friends as it seems there are many sailors traveling near her compass point right now. She has met sailors and musicians from around the world and has been hiking and jamming with them daily. Her sailboat is, of course, being worked on and the troublesome generator problems will be corrected before she sets sail. I send thanks to all the great people supporting Donna on so many levels! Please join me in Lighting a Candle for Donna to help her feel our spirits sending love and strength to her as Donna Lange gets back out there with her Inspired Insanity in Mother Ocean's world!
FAIR WINDS Donna, my AMAZING friend!

Donna Lange has rounded
It could be said that her boat’s name is so akin to ours that I have no choice to be kindred spirits with this real life heroine! But that is just one of those coincidences which I don't believe exist. She has endured all that
CAPTAIN Donna’s voyage around the world began in November 11, 2005 from
Her story of this solo voyage is beyond any justice I can write on her behalf. If you want to know more about her incredible experience, you can find her site at: www.DonnaLange.com. It will take about one minute of reading her story before you will become as amazed and in awe of this woman’s woman as I have become.
Her story is as much or more a spiritual journey as a sailor's. She has been a nurse and is a professional musician to boot! Donna has even played her music for food and provisions along her journey. As she has sailed the world's blue water, she has spread a loving grace which surrounds us all. I am sure her loving spirit, determination, and out right guts will charm the hardest of hearts. In the end as she says it, "there is only love."
Enjoy her story written with her talented and willing pen. Her writings are filled with adventure, trials on many levels, dogged determination, and a loving heart! You will be reading a very personal journal about one of the greatest of adventures of the human spirit, written by a woman who has lived through more than most of us will ever even imagine. In the midst of a battle to survive, she finds magic and meaning in life. Donna, I raise my glass to you as you raise my spirit and the spirits of all others who you have and will touch. Bless you and yours and bless that little boat that has been so honest and true! Safe trip home. Fair winds, love and light… always,
